The VIP Lab is directed by Dr. Tiffany D. Russell, a licensed clinical psychologist and assistant professor of clinical psychology at the University of North Dakota. Information for applying to the program can be found here. The lab focuses on five research domains:
- Externalizing behaviors, including substance misuse and violence perpetration in forensic and general clinical contexts
- Assessment and application of the Alternative Model for Personality Disorders (AMPD)
- Forensic assessment of violence risk
- Juror perceptions of clinically relevant testimony
- Assessing mental health and treatment outcomes in LGBTQIA+ populations, including intimate partner violence and personality pathology in LGBTQIA+ people
